2. Hosting and server log files
This website is hosted by ChemiCloud (CCHosting, Inc., 1111B S Governors Ave #48212, Dover, DE 19904, USA). The server is located in a data center in Frankfurt, Germany.
When you visit the website, the web server automatically records information that your browser transmits: IP address, date and time of the request, the page requested, the referring page, the HTTP status code, the amount of data transferred, and browser and operating system information (user agent). This data is needed to deliver the website and to keep it secure, for example to detect attacks. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is the secure and reliable operation of the website. The log files are stored for a limited period by the hosting provider and then deleted.
ChemiCloud is a company based in the United States. According to the provider, transfers of personal data outside the EU/EEA are safeguarded by the Standard Contractual Clauses of the European Commission (Art. 46 (2) (c) GDPR).
3. No cookies, no tracking
We do not set cookies for visitors and do not use analytics, advertising or social media plugins. The website does not load fonts, scripts or other content from third-party servers.
4. Layout planner: data stored in your browser
The planner saves your current layout in your browser’s local storage so that it is still there the next time you open the page. This data stays on your device and is not transmitted to us. You can delete it at any time by clearing the site data for woodshoplayout.com in your browser settings. Storing this data is strictly necessary to provide the planner you are using (§ 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG).
When you create a share link, the layout is encoded in the part of the link after the # sign. Browsers do not send this part to the web server, so the layout in a share link does not reach our server either. You decide with whom you share the link.
WordPress, the software this website runs on, checks whether your browser can display emoji and stores the result in your browser’s session storage. This information is not sent to us.
5. Contact by email
If you send us an email, we process the data you provide (your email address, name if given, and the content of your message) to answer your request. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR if your request relates to a contract, and otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is answering your inquiry. We delete the data when it is no longer needed and no legal retention obligations apply.
6. Encryption
This website uses TLS encryption (https) to protect the transmission of data.
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access your personal data (Art. 15), to rectification (Art. 16), to erasure (Art. 17), to restriction of processing (Art. 18), to data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (Art. 21). To exercise these rights, contact us by email.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the authority responsible for us: Der Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz und die Informationsfreiheit Baden-Württemberg.
8. Changes
We update this privacy policy when the website changes. Last updated: October 2026.
